Winefront Review November 2014:
“I was spellbound when I first opened this. It’s complex in an earthen, undergrowthy, spice-shot way. My kind of shiraz. Fruit too is deepset, dark cherry-berried, licoricey but lively. And it’s awash with those smoky, nutty, meaty notes so beloved by followers of this style of wine. My only query, at first, was on the warmth of the alcohol; it had me heading to chill the wine slightly, to see if it was a serving temperature thing. It wasn’t. It’s no big issue but it’s there. In all other respects this wine is class, vinified.”
